Style of Japan honors the centuries-old legacy of traditional Japanese chopstick creation – but their methods are firmly future-looking. To address deforestation, climate change and high carbon emissions, they’ve created a sustainable production model: Using only the wood from local, young cedar trees that are part of a healthy forest-thinning program – certified by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture – their chopsticks and tableware are forest-friendly, and bleach, preservative and pesticide-free.
